At the heart of Northallerton in the North East, Thief Hall stands as a stunning venue, perfect for any wedding. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to be the florist for a beautiful wedding there, and I’m excited to share the details of this enchanting event. Thief Hall is a converted barn, boasting breathtaking views of the local countryside, making it an idyllic backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. The venue offers a fantastic getting-ready room for the bridal party, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable morning of preparations. Additionally, Thief Hall provides charming cottages with hot tubs for guests to stay, adding a touch of luxury to the entire wedding experience. For this wedding, the couple envisioned a mix of vibrant florals, and I was thrilled to bring their vision to life with a mix of stunning flowers. The arrangements featured a delightful combination of stocks, delphiniums, Veronica, peonies, tanacetum, Limonium, and many more, creating a lively and colourful atmosphere.
Bridal Party Flowers
The bridal party carried beautiful bouquets that perfectly matched the vibrant theme. The use of varied textures made each bouquet harmonious and complemented the hot pink bridesmaid dresses beautifully.
Venue Arrangements
To enhance the ceremony space, I designed four flower meadows that lined the aisle, creating a lush, garden-like pathway for the bride. The ceremony table was adorned with a stunning one-meter table centerpiece, which aswel as the meadows was later moved to the top table at the wedding breakfast, ensuring its beauty was enjoyed throughout the day.
One of the standout pieces was a corner arrangement for the metal arch at Thief Hall. This arch, already a beautiful feature of the venue, was transformed into a breathtaking focal point and the perfect backdrop for photos with the addition of vibrant blooms and greenery.
Foam-Free Arrangements
A key aspect of these floral creations was the commitment to being eco-friendly. All arrangements were foam-free, utilizing a variety of alternative mechanics. This not only aligned with modern sustainable practices but also ensured the health and longevity of the flowers throughout the event.
Personal Touches and Versatility
Thief Hall is a great space and so versatile, allowing couples to personalize the space to their liking. Whether opting for faux flowers provided by the venue or bringing in fresh floral arrangements, the venue serves as a blank canvas ready to be transformed into a dream wedding setting. The wedding co-ordinators and staff who work there are all so friendly and welcoming, giving you peace of mind that using different wedding suppliers would not be a problem and would all run smoothly in the run up to your special day.
This wedding at Thief Hall was a true celebration of love, nature, and creativity.
