Recently I had the pleasure of designing the wedding florals for a beautiful celebration at Middleton Lodge, a luxury Georgian counrty estate nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire. Known for its timeless elegance, award-winning boutique hotel and serene forest spa, Middleton Lodge provided the perfect backdrop for this romantic wedding.
For the bridal bouquet we kept things classic and sophisticated, the bride allowed me creative freedom to design something beautiful for her special day. Using a mix of white playa blanca roses, astilbe, stocks and seasonal flowers all paired with lush green foliage, this timeless combination added an effortless elegance that perfectly complemented the venues natural charm.
One of my favorite details was the sweet flower girls, who held small posies of pure gypsophilia also known as (babys breath) with long, trailing satin ribbon. The delicate details added a soft whimsical touch as they walked down the aisle, creating a picture perfect moment.
For the top table, I designed a showstopping one metre floral centrepeice featuring the same classic white flowers and green foliage complimented the Fig House at Middleton Lodge perfectly. The long centrepeice was a focal point during the ceremony and then moved to the wedding breakfast, enhancing the beauty of the elegant dining room with its soft, natural tones. The mix of textures and fresh greenery brought the perfect balance of luxury and organic beauty to the table setting, reflecting the understated elegance that Middleton Lodge is known for.
